Print on Demand is a small-scale printing option used by publishers who don't generally have large orders to fulfill. It allows small publishers to not carry inventory or make expensive print runs. When the project is complete, you will be sent a code that will let you pay for the printing of the book, if you choose to use it, and get that printing at cost. At the time of this writing, the cost to print the book will be between $23.00 and $45 USD, depending on the type of color and the final page count. This means the total cost of this book is around the average price for a book of this size and content. Books are printed in the US, the UK, or Australia. So shipping costs may vary depending on your area. Unfortunately, cards are only printed in the US, and if you live outside of North America, shipping costs will be more expensive. Not at this moment, but we are in talks with different publishers for a future release in French, Portuguese, and Chinese.

All art for the limited custom character option will be created under the direction of Knight Errant Media. We reserve the right to refuse any particular direction that we feel doesn't align with the setting or is in opposition to our standards. We will work closely with backers to assist in creating the character. A form will be provided, and each backer will be given 30 days to return information to help create their character. Failure to return the needed info within the 30 days will result in your character not being in the book. There will be no refunds; please be sure that you consider this before pledging.

BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.

If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.

Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.

• Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.

After the campaign ends, you'll receive a survey to pay for any applicable shipping fees, calculated based on your shipping address.

Pay Over Time allows you to split your pledge into multiple payments over a set period. Your card will be charged according to the payment schedule (four monthly payments). Only available for projects that enable this feature. Learn More »

Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.

You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.

Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
