My printer just got back to me with an update about the hardcover.
It's estimated to weigh around 1.8 Kgs (3.9 lbs) on its own.
Apparently our girls had some heavy emotional baggage. 😅

Once I've added bubble wrap, and envelope, it may tip over the 2kg barrier.
This could put it in the higher postage bracket.

I know international shipping is a significant extra expense, and I wanted to updated you so that you can budget for it ahead of time.

Shipping costs will be charged separately, and closer to shipping date (estimated: March-April 2027).
This means you have up until February 2027 to set aside money for the shipping.

So at the end of the campaign, you'll be charged for your pledge but not the shipping.
I've done it this way so that it'll be easier for everyone who wants the book, but also has to pay for shipping.
If your reward is only digital, you won't pay for any type of delivery.

So to clarify once again:
End of campaign: Backerkit will charge you for your pledge.
February 2027: Backerkit wil charge you for the shipping.
People with digital rewards only will be charged full amount at the end of the campaign.

These postage prices are estimated and based on today's shipping prices with the cheapest but safe option. Your parcel will be tracked and carefully packaged to keep it as safe as possible.
