Popping in real quick to let you know the smoke test just went live, which means about 5% of pintopia backers will receive their surveys tonight and have a chance to fill them out. 

I'll be keeping a close eye on everything on the back end, but if you encounter any issues on your end please reach out to me here and let me know! It's important those issues get ironed out before the bulk of the surveys (over 1k!!!) go out to everyone because it will be much, MUCH harder to fix then 😅

If everything looks good by tomorrow, that's when the rest of the surveys will go out  (so keep an eye on your inbox!)

Also a quick reminder that the preorder store has the size charts for all apparel, so if you want to double check you're ordering the right size for you that's the best way to do it 💖

WHEW critters!! It has been one crazy month so far, and first I want to thank you all again for your patience and bearing with me while I juggle a dozen different tasks.

I was hoping to start the survey smoke test tonight and send out the remainder tomorrow, but it looks like something is bugged on my end because I can't submit the survey for review 🙃 That's a bummer and slows us down a bit, but I've already reached out to support and I'm confident they'll have it sorted by tomorrow.

On a lighter note, the BackerKit team built a new function and we get to be the first to test it out! If you selected one of the pin bundles as an add-on, the prompt you encounter to select your pins will be all-new and super streamlined. We've already tested it pretty extensively and it seems to be working as intended, but I'll be hypervigilant and on the lookout for any issues once surveys are live.

So the TL;DR of this update is-- surveys are delayed due to a bugged submit button, but should be fixed tomorrow and then sent out shortly after that.

And if you made it this far, I have a little treat for you! Another round of plush updates has arrived! These four are remarkably close to finished already.

Other than that the first batch is done and I look forward to Dragon Fruit and Rosy Maple next!

I'm looking forward to taking a little break myself, and with prep on the surveys and preorder store almost finished it looks like that might actually happen this weekend haha. The rest of this week was almost entirely dedicated to getting the preorder store set up, which took A LOT more work than I anticipated! We have over 90 unique SKUs for shirts alone so to say it was tedious is a tremendous understatement.

The good news is the preorder store is now live! And surveys are 95% done, I'm just waiting on the backerkit team to do some last minute finagling on their end to get the bundle add-ons working. This can take up to 5 business days, so I'm tentatively planning for surveys to go out on May 5th.

In the meantime if you'd like to look over all the available items and see the size charts for each style of shirt, feel free to check out the preorder store!

Your orders will not combine and you'll be charged twice for shipping if you do so. Wait for the add-on section on your survey!

Charmsey is chipping away the last few collab illustrations and should have the final artwork finished before surveys go out. Below is the latest WIP for the sweater--  doesn't it just get cuter and cuter? 🥹

I've also ordered the rest of the samples for the button-ups! The next batch of samples should all have pockets and customized button colors.

And finally I'll be paying for the pin and shaker samples next week, so I should have a pretty steady stream of things to share with you over the next couple months, yay! 

Big news critters! I had my fingers crossed we'd get a plush update this week and my manufacturer really came through.

As expected many of them still need some tweaks, but they also look better than I was anticipating for a first look! Thornheart is virtually finished, and Cosmic Beez only needs a material swap on their badge and star to be totally perfect.

Attaching them all with my notes in case you're curious about what each one goes through on their way to becoming an official snughoul!

Poor Glitter Moon got a bit of a raw deal compared to the others, but that's okay-- I'm sure the next pass will look much closer to the concept art 💖

Wow wow wow, almost 92k!! Thank you so much critters, and as usual I will hit the ground running so I can send everything off to production ASAP! 🙏

In the meantime I'd like share a brief timeline that covers the next few weeks, so you know what to expect-- if you backed series 2 this will all sound very familiar and if you're new here I hope this clears up any lingering confusion!

Week 1 - Payments take about 2 weeks to process. While this is happening I will be working on getting surveys and the preorder store ready to go live. The preorder store will probably launch by next week, but if you already backed please wait for your survey to add more items! Otherwise you'll be charged twice for shipping and that's no fun.

Week 2 - By the end of this week surveys should be almost ready to launch! Usually a smoke test is performed to make sure everything is working correctly (a small percentage of surveys are sent out and responses are collected and monitored for around 24 hours), and then the bulk go out if everything looks good.

Week 2 to 4 (and onward) - I usually follow a two week update schedule unless more exciting stuff happens in between. These are pretty much just progress reports so you know where we're at on prototyping and all that fun stuff!

I do recommend at least skimming them though because I also share important dates this way and address questions I see popping up frequently.

Late May to June - The preorder store and surveys should close around this time. If you added any items onto your pledge or placed a preorder, this is when you'll be charged for these items. I don't have a concrete closure date right now (prototyping is pretty nebulous that way) but I will share one at least two weeks in advance. 


I think that just about covers all the most important milestones! SO looking forward to sharing some prototype photos with you all within the next week or so. We've got quite the eclectic bunch of snughouls coming up and I just know they're going to look incredible 💖 

Good morning critters!

With just a few hours to go I wanted to squeeze in one more thank you for the incredible turnout, and a final hoorah of sorts by unlocking Dragon Fruit Bat a little early! I'm kind of in awe we're almost at 90k already, and know 100k is all but guaranteed over the next month and some change of prototyping so it just makes sense!

Remember the bug friend pin set is unlocked too, so it will also be available on the survey sent out later this month!

And finally I just want to reiterate that there will be a preorder window after the campaign, so don't fret or put yourself in a financial bind if you can't afford everything you want right now. You'll have the opportunity to edit your survey and add items through most of May and potentially into June 💖

We finally hit the 80k mark, meaning a 6th snughoul plush is UNLOCKED! Not only that but Rosy Maple made a stunning comeback in the polls so it looks like they'll be the one joining us first!

Remember if we hit 100k, I'll add Dragon Fruit Bat as well. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility, both before the campaigns official ending or after, during the preorder phase! 
 
We should also be getting a plushie update this week, and I'm looking forward to the boost of engagement that will trigger 💖

I'm SO excited to announce I'll be providing some guest art for AuDHD Creatures, a gorgeous and adorable collection of plushies with colors based on a variety of disabilities and conditions. 

I volunteered to draw Ash, the anxiety bunny moth! As someone who has dealt with anxiety all my life, it was an honor to draw them and be part of this project in some small way. You'll soon be able to grab both these designs as a pin, and charm/sticker respectively!

Hello friends!

I know you're all on the edge of your seat to know who we unlock next, and with four days to go I think now is the opportune time to decide just that. Here are are last two adorably monstrous critters I have to share this pintopia-- Dragon Fruit Bat, and the return of Rosy Maple Mothman! 

Because I love them both, and because I love seeing everyone celebrate, if we reach 100k both plushies will be unlocked and not just the winner of this poll. 

I'm optimistic that we'll see some prototypes this week, and that this head start will make it possible to stay on schedule even with an additional plush thrown into the mix.

While I love backerkit as a platform, it has its limitations as a public forum and filling that void is where the subreddit comes in! The amount of creativity and talent this project has attracted continues to blow my mind and I look forward to seeing what everyone shares 💖

Apologies for the radio silence, critters! As many of you know I'm also juggling a campaign that's nearing fulfillment, and the past few days have been both exciting and busy thanks to that.

While its all great news at the end of the day, I have a feeling that folks eagerly anticipating the pin campaign plushies will be extra stoked to know we're working on those now! I've been approving fabric swatches all evening and things are looking STELLAR 👽🛸⭐ (hint hint)

We've also almost unlocked the second Backers Choice item already?? Wowiee, I look away for one day and the  funding amount jumps in leaps and bounds. Keep an eye out for that post and poll tomorrow!

These are so hard to put together! If time and money was a non-issue I'd just make everyone, but unfortunately they very much are something I have to consider  😭

Happy Tuesday critters!! I got the best surprise over the weekend-- a product update!

Here's our first look at the button-up shirts, and in the most audacious pattern no less. There's a few tweaks that need to be made (missing the pocket, may change the color of the buttons, and will have a custom wash tag) but overall I'm over the moon with the quality and vibrancy of the print.

These photos haven't been retouched in the slightest-- they're just THAT purple!

And in a bit of serendipitous timing, we ALSO hit our follower goal on twitter and unlocked the corresponding pin set. I'll be making an update tomorrow that gives a run down of all the pins and other goodies we've unlocked so far so sit tight if you need a refresher, but these WILL be available on your survey as a large pin! 💖

Tangentially related, but giveaways are now live on twitter and instagram and end on 4/16! It looks like giveaways aren't really allowed on facebook though, so I'm holding off on sharing one there until I can figure out a safe way to do so 😭

We did it critters!! The mystery wolpertinger (who is not so mysterious anymore) gets to join the plush line up and I'm so tickled!

I've already been discussing various fabric options with my manufacturer for the Glitter Moon Bat (scratchy is a big no-go) and will be paying for the additional prototypes tonight. While I'm not holding my breath, I do hope I get to share some prototype photos before the campaign ends!
