Now that the files are successfully going out to everyone, it's fun to see people already firing up their printers!
Our next step is to activate all new commercial license holders for Modi Boxi and Modi Case so you can begin reselling! We are planning to launch everything for commercial resellers next week.
Media Kit
We are pulling together all the assets for a commercial reseller media kit. You will receive a URL when it is ready.
Reseller IDs
As part of the commercial license, you'll need to display a reseller ID in your shop. Instructions and resources for this will be delivered via a reseller website that you'll use to retrieve your ID. This will launch next week with instructions.
Modi Boxi Licenses
If you already hold a Modi Boxi commercial license or have purchased one to resell Modi Boxi along with Modi Case, we will also update those reseller IDs to work together with Modi Case. You'll use the new website to get your ID that covers Modi Case, Boxi, or both.
TO BE CLEAR: If you are an existing Modi Boxi Reseller, you will need to sign up on the new reseller site to get your new reseller ID.
I don't have a final date for when it will go live. Hopefully by Wed or Thurs next week. Watch this space for more reseller details. You can also join the Discord and go to the #commercial-use channel for questions and updates.
Hi everyone, we have just sent out all the redeem links for the Modi Case Add-ons. So if you purchased a Modi Boxi pack as part of your Modi Case campaign pledge, you should have a redeem link from MyMinIFactory (MMF) in your inbox. Please check your spam folder as well.
MMF Troubles?
A few folks have had issues redeeming their files, saying that when they click the link to redeem while logged in to their MMF account, they get a message that says, "These files are already redeemed by X."
This typically means that you have two MMF accounts without knowing it. If you have this issue and want your files moved to another account, please email us at [email protected], and we can help!
We also have a dedicated question channel in our discord for #mmf-support
Pay Over Time & Failed Payments
At this point, the only folks who won't have files are the pay-over-time backers and anyone with a failed payment. We are looking at how to get pay-over-time folks their files sooner rather than later. I will have more on this tomorrow. Stay tuned for more updates.
In the instructions, you'll find links to all Modi sets, including Modi Case, Modi Boxi Core, XL, and Pro Pack 1 & 2.
For the Modi Case specifically, there is information on how to assemble the Case, fill it with trays, and make all the builds we've shown in our videos and images during the campaign.
As always, your best place to get help and see what others are building is our Discord Server at https://discord.gg/modiboxi. We also put all the resources in the #links channel and have special channels for Modi Case builds and support.
More to come, including some new post-launch feature announcements!
We sent out 1,822 redemption emails for people who pledged Modi Case, Modi Case Commercial, All-In, and All-In Commercial.
It will be an email from MyMinIFactory to redeem the files and have them appear in the library. We use MyMiniFactory because they are a 3D printing STL marketplace with a full library management system that makes it easy for us to issue upgrades and give your files a lifetime home.
Modi Case Campaign Add-Ons still in process
We are working with BackerKit to determine how to retrieve the add-on lists that aren't included in the main backer lists. This also includes everyone who pledges the cross collab with Amsel Suite and the VIP incentive files.
We will provide more details on this when those files are available for redemption.
We continue to work through the complexity of pulling these lists, dealing with erroneous and failed payments, and handling pay-over-time folks, and will continue to resolve issues on a case-by-case basis. If you have a specific issue, please email [email protected], and we will work to resolve things with you in a timely manner.
If you post in the comments here, we can't guarantee we can easily see or track the issue, so please email us directly for support.
We are hard at work on getting the files ready to go tomorrow. We've released a draft of the instructions on our Discord channel and continue to respond to feedback. A few things to cover today:
Files will drop tomorrow, Tuesday, June 30th, on MyMiniFactory
We are working with MyMiniFactory (MMF) to send out all the file notifications. Tomorrow, they will pull a list of all FULLY PAID backers, and we will send out redemption notifications from MyMiniFactory. This will go to the email that you used to pledge on BackerKit.
If you already have an MMF account, you can log in, and the email will be linked to an existing account. If you don't have an MMF account, you will be asked to make one and claim the files.
We have an MMF SUPPORT channel in our Discord if you have any problems.
Failed Payments & Pay Over Time
If you are one of 180+ people who selected to PAY OVER TIME or are one of the remaining 38 people with failed payments, you will not receive your files. You should have received an email from BackerKit about this on days 1, 7, and 14 after the campaign ends.
After we launch the files, we will pull new ones WEEKLY and notify you when they are available.
For failed payments, please correct them ASAP. For Pay over time, you have four months to complete your payments. You can also pay early. If you have questions about this, you can ask them in our Discord.
If you missed Modi Case the first time around, you can still get in on the action with a LATE PLEDGE over at MyMinIFactory (MMF). We've already received a ton of emails about this, so here you go!
We are running a Frontier for the next 30 days for 25% off the retail price.
Right now, if you pledge on MMF, all your files will become available on June 30th, 2026. After you pledge, the files will be delivered instantly.
