Project Update: US, Canada and Brazil deliveries - parcel pipe unblocked
Hi folks, and thanks again for bearing with us while we sorted out our US, Canadian and Brazillian parcels.
The good news is that we believe all parcels should now be traced, unblocked, and on their way to where they need to get to.

If your parcel still hasn’t updated by Monday, please email us directly as it’s likely there is a different issue affecting it.
Once again, we’re really sorry for the delays, we’re really grateful for your support and your patience, and we hope you enjoy your books when they arrive. If something arrives damaged, drop us an email to [email protected] and we will sort you out.

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: US, Canada and Brazil delivery delays - update
Hi folks, Maz here again with a short update on the delivery delays we’re having with US, Canadian and Brazilian parcels.
The good news is that we believe we have traced the issues we talked about last time, and the warehouse team has done heroic work getting most of their backlog clear. Parcels are now showing up in our courier systems as well as leaving the warehouse.
What this means for you:
- All labels for all parcels have now been printed, which means picking and packing is occurring for everything that was previously delayed in the warehouse. We’re expecting that backlog to clear in full over the next few days.
- If your parcel was caught by the tracking issues we’ve been seeing, there’s a strong chance it’s already started to move - we’ve had several reports of parcels arriving, as well as being able to see tracking updating properly in our systems for a lot of others.
- If your parcel still hasn’t moved, please don’t panic; both of these problems are taking time to clear. We believe, as with the delayed parcels, it should start to free up and move over the next few days.
We’re continuing to monitor things as the issues resolve, and I’ll update you all again on Thursday 20th with, hopefully, completely positive news.
Once again - we’re really sorry about these delays, and we will make sure you get your parcels. If your parcel is showing delivered but you don’t have it, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing [email protected]. And if you’ve emailed us about your parcel already, we’ll be emailing you back shortly.
Thanks again,
– Maz, Alex, Elaine, the warehouse crew, and everyone at RR&D
PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: US, Canada and Brazil delivery delays
Hi folks. Maz here, tag teaming with Alex because when things get challenging we like to mob up and try to get more folks on the problem.
Most of you have your books now, which is excellent. However, there’s a group of backers in Canada, Brazil and the US who haven’t yet had parcels or tracking details arrive.
Most of you have your books now, which is excellent. However, there’s a group of backers in Canada, Brazil and the US who haven’t yet had parcels or tracking details arrive.
First up: we’re really sorry about the continued delays. We will get your books to you, we promise; we’re working very hard to make that happen as quickly as possible. We hope that most, if not all, parcels will be back on the move before the end of this week. Read on for more details.
If you’ve not yet had your parcel, chances are that you’re stuck in one of two situations.
Firstly: there’s still a stack of parcels waiting to be picked up from the warehouse. This is a small group, but still significant. The reasons for this are: we had big issues with our freight to the US being delayed, which then meant that fulfilment ran into Gen Con, which has caused things to back up in the warehouse. All parcels should have gone out well before the convention, but because our goods were stuck in limbo in a Maersk warehouse for so long, our nice fulfilment timeline got squashed and not all parcels made it out of the warehouse on time. The warehouse team is working through these now, and we will let you know when all parcels have been confirmed as picked up and sent. A large tranche of these are Canadian parcels which will all ship together to ease border crossing and customs paperwork.
Secondly, there’s a separate issue with tracking. It looks as though some parcels haven’t been correctly scanned into our courier’s systems, which means that there’s a stack of parcels arriving before the tracking code even updates, and others showing no movement when we know they’ve left the warehouse. If your parcel’s in this stack, then it’s likely on its way to you already - but we don’t currently have the capacity to check for certain. We’re working with our warehouse and with our courier to confirm exactly what’s going on with these parcels, get them traced and ensure they’re going where they need to go. Any package that doesn’t make it to you, we will replace.
Thanks for your patience, and once again, we’re sorry for the additional delays. If your parcel still hasn’t reached you, please know that we are looking into it and bear with us while we investigate. We’re aiming to update you again on Monday August 17th here with more information, when we hope the majority of outstanding parcels will be back on the map, and back on the move.

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: July Update - Ways confirmed - Means incoming
TL;DR:
US books are now in the correct state (ie, Tennessee. They have remained solid throughout). Fulfilment to USA & Canada is expected to begin this week once the books have been checked at the warehouse. All other fulfilment is complete, except for stragglers.
–
Long awaited delays to US freight are nearing the end. We’re straining on our leash to get books out…
Americas
Transport around the USA was slow to materialise due to some excessive partying by the locals. Hangovers have been doused, and everyone has apparently remembered how to do their jobs now. So we have confirmation that goods will be delivered to the warehouse by truck in the next 48hrs.
The fulfilment team are ready to go - they have all our fulfilment lists for backers, retailers and cross-border parcels already, and have been working on the best methods for getting books out according to the deadlines we set last update. We want all USA Backers to have received their parcel or know the exact status of their delivery before Gencon at the end of July. For international orders, we’re aiming to have everything packed and in flight by the same deadline.
We worked with a new freight partner for this delivery, with the books beginning their journey in the EU, not the UK. This process has fallen short of our expectations, and we are assessing our options for future projects to ensure that we are not let down by the same people again. I realise this comes as cold comfort for those of you who have waited patiently for this project, but we want to reassure you that RRD takes this stuff very seriously. The end is now in sight.
Everywhere Else
These areas are now completed. If you haven’t heard anything, or haven’t received a tracking link for your order, please get in touch with Jim or myself in the Customer Service mines by emailing [email protected].
We are aware that a small number of backers in Australia are still waiting on their orders to arrive. We ran out of copies ahead of expected schedule, and have some extra copies of Ways & Means due to arrive on an airplane by the end of the week.
If you have finalised an order in the past 6 weeks then these will be picked up in our Stragglers sweep that is now underway…
Stragglers Sift
By the end of this week we will have sifted through and collected anyone in the BackerKit who has finalised their survey, has orders and addresses locked or had card payments declined since we processed our main fulfilment in each region.
We call this our stragglers sift, and it’s our opportunity to pick up any things that may have slipped through the cracks, as well as giving the small number of backers that we haven’t heard from since the campaign ended one last gentle poke [*poke*].
This was delayed by a week to allow the USA process to be finalised. We now expect that customers should have tracking links sent out by Friday 17th July.
Feedback & Community
If you’ve already had a chance to check out your delivery (perhaps even read through and share with your tables) why not head over to our website product page and leave a review that might encourage more people to buy it? Or join our Discord server and chat to other backers about it?
If you like your media social, you can always tag us on Instagram, Bluesky or Facebook to let us know what you’re doing with your games, we’re @rowanrookanddecard most places. Or you can still comment here on the project while it’s open.
Generally
Thanks enormously for your patience and support, folks - we couldn’t do any of this without you.
As always, there’s a risk things will get dinged, damaged or lost in transit. If that happens to you, we want to put it right. We recommend taking photos of your parcel and the products inside if you’re worried there may be damage to your items - this helps speed up the claims process and get replacements sent out quicker.
If anything goes wrong with your parcel, get in touch with Jim or myself in the Customer Service mines by emailing [email protected].
xoxo

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: June Ways &Means Update - New fulfillment unlocked
TL;DR:
Books on the American mainland, final addresses locking today. Fulfilment to USA & Canada to begin once books arrive at the warehouse. All other fulfilment complete, except for stragglers.
–
Apologies for a longer delay than originally planned - team RRD all uprooted for UKGE at the end of May and, then most of us also went away for Pyrkon in Poland last week. Communications have been a bit slow, but we’ve been working on your fulfilment throughout. We’ve been chasing up the fortunes of our shipments (news below) and discussing packaging improvements with our EU fulfilment partners at their new warehouse.
It is now time for the good news…
Americas
Most of what we said last time about delays remains sadly true. Our boat docked about a week ago, but one of the other businesses we were sharing our container with did not file their paperwork properly (or on time), so everyone in the container remained on hold for around 6 days whilst me & our US imports broker ran around hitting everyone we could find with a stick until paperwork fell out.
They have now confirmed that the goods are through US Customs and are scheduled for onward transportation via Atlanta. Probably another 7-10 days until actual goods are at the warehouse, but no reason not to progress our side of things.
With this in mind, we will be locking addresses today, and you’ll have the whole weekend to check BackerKit has the correct address for this project. If you are a frequent user of BackerKit and you’ve recently moved, I recommend double checking the address for this project is correct. There have been some teething issues with their central multi-project address update tool recently.
Once addresses are locked in we will share them with the team at Studio2 who will arrange all of our final mile deliveries (the bit where it comes to your house/office/university/van/boat/earthship) - they usually begin with the US mainland orders, then move on to Canada & South America (which requires more paperwork). All told, we expect it to take around 2 weeks for all the parcels to be mailed out (after the goods arrive at the warehouse). Depending on how far from Tennessee you live and exactly how the US postal service decides to deal with your parcel, you should get your parcels around 2 weeks after that (for example Hawaii sometimes gets extra delays while UPS and FedEx argue over whose turn it is to use ‘the big boat’).
So for those of you counting, we’re looking at about 38 days maximum until we think everyone should have their parcels in hand. Our target is better than that - we want all USA Backers to have received their parcel or know the exact status of their delivery before Gencon at the end of July. For international orders, we’re aiming to have everything packed and in flight by the same deadline.
Everywhere Else
All our warehouses have confirmed they have sent out all orders. They did this lightning fast, and lots of people have already told us that their books have arrived.
If you haven’t heard anything, or haven’t received a tracking link for your order, please get in touch with Jim or myself in the Customer Service mines by emailing [email protected].
If you have finalised an order in the past 6 weeks then these will be picked up in our Stragglers sweep that will begin shortly.
Stragglers Sift
Our fulfilment project moves inexorably towards its conclusion. In early July we will go through and collect anyone in the BackerKit who has finalised their survey, has orders and addresses locked or had card payments declined since we processed our main fulfilment in each region.
We call this our stragglers sift, and it’s our opportunity to pick up any things that may have slipped through the cracks, as well as giving the small number of backers that we haven’t heard from since the campaign ended one last gentle poke [*poke*].
Anyone picked up in this process will have packages sent before the 6th July 2026. We will also run this process again after USA & Canada backers have been fulfilled.
