Project Update: Digital Fulfillment + Off to Print + Summer Jam + Special Gift
It's finally time!
We're excited to announce that we are ready to send the Liminal Horror Deluxe Edition off into the world! After years of work (both before and after the crowdfunding) we're happy to say that it is time to get it to the fans! Below we'll talk about next steps, but the train has left the station and we're in the final phase!

DIGITAL FULFILLMENT
We are excited to get the final digital pdf to backers. We will be doing this in a multitude of ways in order to provide ample coverage (and hit people's preferences as I know that everyone has a preferred way of organizing digital files).
- Backerkit: We will be sending out the pdfs here through backerkit.
- Google Drive Fulfillment Folder: We will update the file in the google drive fulfillment folder that we've been using during this campaign. I will put a link to it below in the backers only section. This mode will be sunsetting in a month (to provide a buffer for coverage while we do fulfillment digitally).
- Itch: We will be doing itch fulfillment for the Deluxe Edition using your emails from the backerkit. I know that for many they like keeping their libraries on one platform and this will allow that to easily happen for those who leverage that site. It'll also allow access for any updates down the line. This will also allow people who pre-ordered immediate access to the files. You will have to use the email used for your backerkit in order to claim this. We will be unable to adjust the email used at this time. Please use backerkit as the primary means if you have a different email than your itch account.
- DrivethruRPG: At the same time as the itch fulfillment we will be doing the same on DrivethruRPG. This gives people the option of having both platforms for library management. This will also allow people who pre-ordered immediate access to the files. You will have to use the email used for your backerkit in order to claim this. We will be unable to adjust the email used at this time. Please use backerkit as the primary means if you have a different email than your drivethru account.
There may be a little staggering in the fulfillment, but we'll try to have each platform launch fairly close together (Jert/SPI will be doing the backerkit backend while Goblin Archives will manage the itch/drivethru/drive).
DIGITAL PACKAGE
The digital package has all the bells an whistles we could think of:
- Singles and Spreads exports of the main book (fully hyperlinked, anchored, and annotated).
- Alternative formats, which include a slightly more printer friendly version of the main book with the background texture removed alongside the plaintext manuscripts.
- The full character sheet package, including the alternate formats, the form fillable copies, and the pre-gens.
- Exports of every map in the book, including the labeled and clean versions where it made sense.
- Individual reference aids.
- Each individual scenario exported separately.
- Each section of the book exported separately.
We will be sending the print files to our printer, Longprinting. They do an amazing job (they're the ones who printed Hungry Hollow). They're pretty quick in terms of printing, but it will be loaded onto a boat to be shipped to Florida for our in house fulfillment process. This will take time but we'll keep you updated on the timelines (when it gets printed, when it gets loaded, when it lands, when packages are starting to go out, etc.).
LIMINAL HORROR SUMMER JAM '26
To celebrate the launch of the Liminal Horror Deluxe Edition we will be hosting another game jam. These are opportunities for creators to make things for Liminal Horror. Some of my favorite third party adventures and resources have come from our previous jams. Definitely take a look and follow along (and maybe even make something for it)! This will be running all summer and culminating on Halloween!
DELUXE EDITION COVERAGE
As we get ready for the Deluxe Edition to go out into the world, if you are a journalist/podcaster/etc. and would like to have someone from the Liminal Horror dev team on to talk about the Deluxe Edition (or run something) let us know and we can coordinate. WHAT IF I MISSED BACKING/PREORDER?
Don't worry. Once we do physical fulfillment copies of the Deluxe Edition will be carried on the Space Penguin Ink website as well as through our other physical distributors (which means you can request it to be carried at your LFGS, please do). We will also be releasing it digitally as well. Our goal is to live up to the name of being the world's premier modern horror tabletop game. I think we have it down with the text, so getting it out there will be the next step.
