Hello Survivors,

TL;DR: Everyone who has completed their survey can access the Core Book Beta. We can use your assistance to find typos and graphic flaws before going to print.

CORE BOOK BETA AVAILABLE!

The big day has finally arrived. If you completed your Pledge Manager survey and paid all outstanding fees (you can check here, we still have a few stragglers), you will receive an email with a link to download the Dead Air: Seasons Core Book Beta.

Why is this called Beta?

The PDF you receive contains everything in the Core Book (cover and backcover excluded) and is fully playable, but as with previous projects, we will take a few extra weeks for a full re-read, looking for residual typos, graphical issues that are likely to cause printing issues, and so on. This is a crucial step that should not be overlooked because it usually results in a much better final product. You will also receive a final PDF version when all is said and done.

You can help!

I won't lie: re-reading hundreds of pages in two languages is exhausting work, especially since we still have two books at various stages of completion for this project. A few hundred extra eyes will be looking at these pages from the moment we send the file out, and that makes a huge difference. If you see:

A typo
Wrong formatting
An image in the wrong place or displaying some graphical glitch
Some sentence you can’t make sense of

You can come to our Discord server, and mention it in the channel #dead-air-seasons-typos (for the English PDF) or #dead-air-seasons-refusi (for the Italian PDF).

We still have time to fix what can be fixed, so your contribution is important!

BETA DEL CORE BOOK DISPONIBILE!

Il grande giorno è finalmente arrivato. Se avete completato il sondaggio del Pledge Manager e pagato tutte le spese in sospeso (potete controllare qui, c’è ancora qualche ritardatario), riceverete un'e-mail con un link per scaricare il Core Book Beta di Dead Air: Seasons.

Perché si chiama Beta?

Il PDF che riceverete contiene tutto ciò che è contenuto nel Core Book (ad esclusione di cover e backcover) ed è completamente giocabile, ma come per i progetti precedenti, ci prenderemo qualche settimana in più per una rilettura completa, alla ricerca di refusi residui, problemi grafici che potrebbero causare problemi di stampa e così via. Si tratta di una fase cruciale che non deve essere trascurata, perché di solito si traduce in un prodotto finale molto più pulito. Quando avremo finito con le correzioni, riceverete anche una versione finale del PDF.

Dateci una mano!

Non mentirò: rileggere centinaia di pagine in due lingue è un lavoro estenuante, soprattutto perché per questo progetto abbiamo ancora due libri in varie fasi di completamento da chiudere. Dal momento in cui spediremo il file molte più persone poseranno lo sguardo su queste pagine, e questo fa un'enorme differenza.

Se vi capitasse di trovare:

Un errore di battitura
Una formattazione errata
Un'immagine nel posto sbagliato o che presenta qualche difetto grafico
Una frase di cui non capite il senso

venite sul nostro server Discord e segnalatelo nel canale #dead-air-seasons-refusi (per il PDF italiano) o #dead-air-seasons-typos (per il PDF inglese).

Abbiamo ancora tempo per sistemare eventuali problemi, quindi il vostro contributo è importante!
