Hello there! I’m Mary, known as UltraInfinite online. The goal of this campaign is to fund the creation of enamel pins inspired by lesser known fairytales.
I have already run many Kickstarter and Backerkit campaignsto fund the creation of a variety of enamel pins. Most of my pins and other items are available with mystockists.
Backerkit will not charge you unless the campaign reaches its funding goal.
You can change your pledge amount at any time before the campaign ends.
Surveys will be sent out once the campaign has completed so you can pick which designs you would like.
You will receive updates on production and fulfillment as they progress, through your Backerkit email or the Community tab on the campaign page.
Once backers have received their pledges, any extras will be available after the campaign; but at a higher price. Missed the campaign or can't pledge? See the Survey section for more details on how else to get the pins.
Pledge Level Discounts
Please note that the pledge levels for four pins and above are discounted, and have access to discounted pin addons as well. The discount will not be applied retroactively if you purchase pin addons, you must switch pledge levels; but you will be able to switch pledge levels in the survey if you change your mind later. The discounted addon is available only during the campaign.
I'm happy to share that Forgotten Fables is partnered with Fairy Tales Enamel Pins by Cathead Pins to offer freebie pins as part of our campaigns. If you pledge to Fairy Tales Enamel Pins as well as Forgotten Fables, you will receive a freebie pin from each campaign. These pins will only be available to backers who pledge for both campaigns, so be sure to pledge if you want them! If you qualify for the free Crane Wife pin, it will be added to your survey post-campaign (likewise for the cross-collab pin in the Fairy Tales Enamel Pins campaign). In the tale of the Crane Wife, a poor man rescues an injured crane. The crane disguises herself as a woman, marries him, and weaves exquisite, magical silk to sell at the market, at the cost of plucking her own feathers. The Fairy Book or Dragon Book mini pin will be available to backers who pledge to three or morePin Quest campaigns. These designs are based on the Andrew Lang Fairy Books.
Each pledge will include a sticker of the most popular design (to be determined after surveys are submitted), and a postcard print featuring artist credits on the back.
Pins will be hard enamel with gold plating except where noted otherwise.
Pins come with backing cards and rubber clutches.
These pins feature a frame-style design with recessed metal details, and some may have additional effects. Please see the Introduction section for examples of how these effects may turn out.
Our first goal at $1000 is to fund the Unicorn pin, inspired by the famous tapestry. Our second goal at $1600 is to fund the Catskin pin. In the Catskin tale, a princess flees her father’s unwanted marriage plans by disguising herself in a coat of catskins and working as a servant, but her true identity is eventually revealed and she marries a worthy prince. Next we will fund the Lady of the Lake pin at $2200. The Lady of the Lake guards the sword Excalibur and plays a pivotal role in guiding King Arthur. The Lindworm pin will be funded at $3000. In the tale of the Lindworm, a queen gives birth to twins: one a monstrous lindworm and the other a perfect human prince. The Lindworm devours brides until a clever woman breaks his curse, transforming him into a man. Our next goal is the Little Match Girl pin at $3600. The Little Match Girl lights matches to warm herself, and ultimately dies in the cold, finding peace in the afterlife. Next we will fund the Twelve Brothers pin at $4200. In the tale of the Twelve Brothers, a king plans to kill his twelve sons so they escape into the woods, and are transformed into ravens. Their sister who bears a star upon her head later finds them and frees them from their curse. Two recolors of the Nightmare Portrait pin will be funded at $4800. Finally at $5200 the Dragon Book mini pin will be funded, backers who are eligible for the Pin Quest freebie pin will be able to pick between the Fairy Book or Dragon Book. If we fund all these designs, more will be added depending on backer suggestions. Please see the section below for more details and to cast your votes!

Rewards will ship via USPS with tracking. Be sure to check your address is correct, replacements or refunds will not be given if you provide the wrong shipping address.
Shipping will be charged after the campaign, when items are ready to ship. Please note that the pledge amount during the campaign does not include shipping cost.
Once items ship, they will take about 1-2 weeks to arrive for domestic (US) backers, and 4-6 weeks for international backers.
Noticefor international backers: Backers are responsible for any customs fees or taxes that may be placed on international orders. No refunds or replacements will be given if your package is lost or returned to sender as a result of not paying these fees. International mail service has been suspended for some countries. Backers are responsible for confirming if service is suspended. If I am unable to ship to you I will refund your pledge, minus any fees and taxes.
I have added new reduced shipping rates for international destinations! These rates are lower than in my shops or previous campaigns; however they do not include insurance and shipping time may be extended by 1-4 weeks. If you prefer the previous shipping method, an upgrade will be available in the post-campaign survey/preorder store to switch to that instead.

Once the campaign ends, surveys will be sent out for backers to choose their pins and other goodies. These surveys will be sent to your Backerkit email, so please make sure you are able to access that email. We will be using Backerkit to coordinate rewards.
Using Backerkit, you can add to your pledge if there are additional campaign items you'd like; or preorder pins if you missed the campaign. However, it's best to pledge for them during the campaign to help unlock goals.
Once pins are in-hand and ready to ship, backers will receive photos of the pins and will be allowed to make changes to their survey if desired. If there are an insufficient number of pins or other items to accommodate these changes, you may receive a B-grade pin, be asked to select a different item, or have your pledge delayed several months while more are manufactured. At this time, campaign backers and preorder backers will be charged for any addons via Backerkit. Please see the Timeline section for an estimate of when pins will ship.
How the Survey Works
The first part consists of survey questions: where you answer survey questions depending on your pledge level. In this example I have pledged for one pin and I select it from the available options in the dropdown menu. Only the designs shown on the campaign page will be available from this menu. If I pledged for two pins, I’d answer two questions with a selection, and so on.

The second part is the survey addons: where you can select your addons and purchase additional merch. It is in this section that other designs will be up for preorder, and unlocked depending on order quantity.
Once the campaign has ended, a Backerkit preorder store will be opened for a limited time. To track the campaign progress, preorder backers are recommended to keep an eye on the campaign page to see what updates are being posted; or subscribe to my social media to see previews of the items when I have received them.
Once pins are in-hand and ready to ship, preorder backers will be charged for any addons via Backerkit. Please see the Timeline section for an estimate of when pins will ship. After the preorder store closes, you will need to wait until post-campaign leftovers are available.
After backers have received their rewards, any leftovers will be made available for a limited time in my Etsy shop, and then with my stockists. International shipping to most destinations is available through some of my stockists.
If you have any issues with your survey or other urgent concerns: please contact Backerkit support. Backerkit support will forward your message to my email. Do not message me on my shops, social media, or comment on the campaign page - if you do that I may miss your message or lose track of it (feel free to comment for any non-urgent issues of course).
Manufacturing times are approximate and delays are possible. Backers will be notified if there are any unexpected delays, updates, or other issues.
Design changes may be made depending on pin design. This may include adjustments to colors and linework. I will do my best to produce pins that match these designs as closely as possible. Differences between the final items and the mockups are to be expected.
I will be using USPS to ship backer rewards. International mail service has been suspended for some countries. Backers are responsible for confirming if service is suspended. Backers are responsible for any customs fees. Refunds/replacements will not be provided if a package is rejected by customs and lost, as a result of failure to pay these fees. Please see the Shipping section for more information. If I am unable to ship to you I will refund your pledge, minus any Backerkit fees and taxes.
