So we are just about to ship from our manufacturer to us in Portland. That is a fairly...
I want you to know, I am working on solutions to our shipping dilemma and will ensure you get your reward!
The summary of the issue is as follows.
Back in January, we dropped off a huge bunch of orders with USPS and we discovered that they did not get scanned and no info was provided about there whereabouts.
We did not know how many orders were affected by this status, and so we had you email us to get a gauge. From those emails we were able to pinpoint the specific batch and we determined it was around 200. So with 200+ units that disappeared, we discovered that we are short on the ballpoint pens. Our theory is that our supplier mixed up the fountain pens and ballpoint pens. That means, if you dont mind receiving a fountain pen instead, we will gift that to you so that you do not have to wait further.
If not, more pens are in production and we will get the shipping expedited to us. It will likely take another month until those arrive here in Portland..
We will be responding to your emails today and tomorrow, please respond back indicating if you do not mind a fountain pen or are willing to wait for the ballpoint pen.
Now, as for the batch of 50+ orders that were dropped off on my porch, we are duplicating those today and will ship them out Monday. You will know if you are a part of this bunch because your tracking will show that it was delivered to Portland...

Hello all! This update pertains to those still attempting to receive there reward, or those who received it incorrectly.
1. Shipments from one of our international shipping batches still shows a status of "To Be Dropped Off", OR "Waiting to be Scanned". It is a batch from January 17th. There may be some domestic orders in that batch as well. From our history with USPS, this indicates that this particular batch was not scanned and is unnacounted for. We have printed and shipped all of the orders so they were indeed dropped off and sent by us.
If this is your situation, what we need from you is the following: please email us with the subject line "Travelbook Shipping Issue". We will do what it takes to get your status to be delivered. Typically we try to cancel the original order, and then duplicate and ship it again. ( [email protected] )
2. Now if you are having seperate issues, please email us with the subject line "Travelbook Issue". ( [email protected] )
Strangely, our spam filter caught dozens and dozend of email inquiries that came through our website. We are sorry for the delay in responding that this caused.

International Shipping Update
In order to avoid the mishandling of orders amidst the chaos of Christmas shipping logistics, we are going to begin shipping to international backers starting in January. Shipping internationally can feel like murphys law... and so we want to make the process as swift and straightforward as possible for everyone.
A few important details for our international backers.
Receiving your package will mostly likely require action on your part. Most United States shipping providers hand-off packages to your local postal service. Your courier may try to contact you via phone call or email to pay customs fees/verify information. OR there may be a point in the tracking updates when the updates have stopped. The majority of the time, this means that your local post office has your package, and is waiting for you to come retrieve it.
Your local courier cannot update the tracking becasue they are totally disconnected from our systems. So be prepared! You may have to present yourself to your local courier with a valid ID in order to retrieve your package. Let us know if you have any questions.
We will do our best to make sure all of you wonderful people receive your items! We are so thankful for you.

We are trying to become friends with Powells books. We hope to see our bookwallets on their shelves!

How fitting we are from Portland... I was just there Saturday night to buy Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. It is a delightful establishment, always teeming with people.

You should have gotten your survey yesterday OR today by the end of the day. Please check your spam. Thanks for your patience. You will have access to modify your pledge information via pledge manager (survey) until the end of August. You willl be able to change your address up until early November so if you are moving in the Fall, do not be worried!
You will see a lot of different add-ons! We have worked hard to get all this ready and are excited to bring these goodies to you.

1. Please ensure your payment went through.
We charged cards last week and 70+ payments failed. You were notified via email if your payment had issues. You were only charged for your pledge, it did not include shipping.
2. Surveys!
Turns out that were hasty when we said we would send out surveys by today (Tuesday the 19th). We are sorry for the change! The survey will be sent out the following Tuesday the 26th. As a reminder, please respond to the survey promptly and attentively as it confirms all kinds of important information about your pledge.
A reminder that the survey will:
· Allow you to select your desired Travelbook(s)
· Allow you to add additional items (Travelbooks, Bookwallets, Fancy Notecards, Fancy Pen, Extra Notebook/Pen, Sticker, etc.)
· Confirm your address
· Charge you for shipping
3. Timeline/Shipping
We just got the latest confirmation that production will take 2 months & shipping will take two months. If this estimate stays true, we will receive the goods here in Portland OR in late November. We will easily be able to ship all orders within 2 weeks. Just remember that international logistics are fragile, and that there could be complications that push the delivery into January. Just please mentally prepare for that because it is a possibility.
In terms of shipping to you, particularly for international orders, selecting a courier is a balancing act. For example, there may be a slightly cheaper courier (yay) that takes up to 45 days to deliver (boo) … We are persisting in marrying quality, price, and time. Please note that but prices have gone up over the last two years. We are estimating that international shipping will cost from $16 - $20. Domestic shipping is looking like $11 - $13 via UPS. Please also note that estimate will be slightly higher if you ordered more than 3 Travelbooks.
4. Other Stuff
-The pre order store will be live by Friday, so if you know of anyone that may have missed the project, they can still order a Travelbook and join the partayy.
-For clarification, these are the final 23 Travelbook designs that you can select from when you receive the survey next week.

1. Per the popular vote, the two designs that were voted out were Poems of Cabin & Field & the Navy Blue Jane Eyre. It was close between Navy Blue Jane & Robin Hood, but in the interest of the diversity of selection, we favored Robin Hood.

3. New Pledge Level! Hey everybody! We are introducing a NEW pledge level that will include One Travelbook & One Bookwallet! (We are still finalizing the details. If you dont already know, our first crowdfunding project was for the bookwallet, which is essentially a minimalist version of the Travelbook.
