Hi all,

Just a quick update from us this morning. Our team had a much needed pre-holiday rush break over Thanksgiving week last week, and we're all back in the shop today ready for the Christmas rush! We have just a handful of orders still outstanding for this project - folks who just finished up their surveys in the last few days, a few personalized bags, and some artisan customized bags. 

For those of you still waiting for your bags, thank you for your patience while we on-boarded our new team member. Training always slows things down a bit for the first couple months. We'll have this project finished up completely this month so stay tuned for your tracking notifications!

For those of you who have your bags already, I hope you're enjoying them!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Just a quick update and some fun news from us this afternoon.

Shipping

I anticipate us finishing shipping the bulk of this project over the next three weeks. If you haven't gotten your survey in yet, now's the time! 

New Allegory Team Member

Because of the great success of this project and our most recent Kickstarter, we were able to add a new member to our team! She started last week! For those of you who don't know us well, we're a small team of four (now five) so a new addition to our crew is a big deal! You'll see her handiwork reflected in the bags that shipped starting last week.

Hi all,

Just a quick production and shipping update from us. We've shipped exactly half the project and have another 30 orders that will be shipping out early next week.

We're also in the process of hiring another team member. Woohoo! That's always a fun milestone for our business. This additional production capacity will help us wrap up all the remaining bags and set us up well to fufill our next project on Kickstarter quickly. If you haven't had a chance to check out out yet it, it only has another week left!

We've appreciated all of your feedback about your Flight Satchels and look forward to getting the remaining batches completed and shipped this fall.

Hi all,

I hope your September's are off to a great start. Today is kind of a wet and chilly day for us near Chicago - fall is definitely in the air! I wanted to pop in here today with a quick fulfillment update on your Flight Satchels and an exciting announcement about a new project launching tomorrow.

Flight Satchel Shipping
As of Friday last week, we've completed and shipped rewards for 24% of the surveys we have back. There are still a number of unanswered surveys. Please remember that we can't ship your rewards until we have your survey back! We need your shipping details and the specifications about your bag (leather color, etc.)

We have another 12% of the project shipping this week. Our team is in a great rhythm of making between 30-40 bags a week so keep an eye out for your shipping notification. We're working through orders based on when surveys were completed. Right now we have everyone who completed their survey on August 26 or 27 either shipped our queued up for production over the next couple weeks. Thanks to everyone who has emailed feedback when you've received your bags! It's invaluable!

What's Next
While the Flight Satchel project was live on BackerKit, we prepared our next crowdfunding project that will launch tomorrow on Kickstarter. It's called The Ancients: Writing tools carved in ancient reclaimed wood. The project features one of our most loved styles of click pen in a choice of five new hardware finishes and our three favorite super old, super awesome woods (ancient kauri- over 50,000 years old, bog oak - 5, 000 years old, and Bethlehem olivewood - 2,000 years old). The project also has a few fun leather add-on journals and portfolios with options with custom artwork. 

We're excited to experiment with alternating projects on BackerKit and Kickstarter. Our hope is this cadence will allow us to keep our production pipeline at a consistent level and provide an even better experience for our backers while growing our business. Keep your fingers crossed for us. And, if unique pens are your thing, we'd love to see you over on Kickstarter as a backer on the new project! You'll all receive a launch announcement when that project goes live tomorrow.

Hi all,

Thanks for joining us for a great campaign! Apologies you haven't heard from us sooner. We've been hard at work making bags already and preparing the survey.

After the campaign closes there is a two week window for BackerKit to charge pledges. At that time (Wednesday of this coming week), we will be able to send our surveys as payments will have been processed and backers uploaded into pledge manager. We are on track to have the surveys ready to send out as soon as we get the clearance from BackerKit. 

You will be able to configure all of your rewards, including add-ons and making changes to your pledge, in those surveys and both Allegory and BackerKit will be available to help.

The biggest help to us to expedite shipping of rewards is for you all to complete your surveys as quickly as possible. Having all the surveys back quickly helps us create efficient batches for production and turn around rewards in a timely manner.
