Hellloooo Crawlers! 

Today we have a fun new treat! We pondered for a bit on the best way to get you the info from the brains of our devs to your computers. A few ideas were tossed around so for this first one we had the Dungeon AI extract the information from one of the Unstoppable developers.

Morning stats update first!
We currently have 30,834 crawlers and that number is still climbing! That's less than 10,000 crawlers from the new Mordecai mini!
We've also rammed through several stretch goals since our last full update, bringing us to over $7.25 Million!

The graphics aren't updated JUST yet, we're making sure they're nice and pretty and readable but rest assured they will be updated!

Threat Vote

The people have spoken! We have closed the first New Threat poll with a SQUEAK of a winner: The Big Bad Wolf!
AND overnight you all earned that third threat so the next poll will run for 5 days after that. There's a pettern, see?

The other three choices will be entered into a new poll, along with one ✨new✨ option for you to vote on for 5 days, starting….now!

Li Na has triumphed! We'll be releasing another poll choosing the next pre-gen character sheet today or tomorrow. We can only attach one poll per post and that new threat one is a doozy. 

Another trivia question has been opened and will close in one week. Remember, you’re not just playing trivia, you’re playing trivia to get the top spot on the leaderboard! Maybe we'll mimic the crawl and put out bounties!

Crawlers like being bountied, right? 

One of the best parts of role-playing games is the fun in building your own character! For Dungeon Crawler Carl Unstoppable, we wanted to capture the role-playing inspiration from the novel and let you build your own crawler to tackle the challenges of the World Dungeon. The Build-Your-Own Crawler feature is part of the Crawler Chaos expansion that is available as part of any Unstoppable pledge tier and as an add-on. 

The way this works is by picking which general shape best fits the crawler you’re picturing in your horrible imagination. Both versions play the same, but having two choices lets you and your co-conspirator team up and build a (hopefully) synergistic squad. 

From there, you’ll pick your three unique starting cards. There are just a few rules to play by-- you’ve got to have one card that costs 0 Action Points (AP), one that costs 1 AP, and one that costs 2 AP. You also have to pick cards with two different stats symbols, so no going all-in on wizard nonsense right off the bat, you’ve got to stay a little flexible. Most of the other crawlers fit this rules pattern, so you’re no worse off than they are, but it’s something to keep in mind.

That being said, you’ve got a lot of options at your disposal. There are some brand new toys for you to play with, only available to the special little fella you are. We’ve got some rugged, hard-hitting melee attacks with Axe You A Question and Go Clubbing. If you’re more spell-inclined, there are some strong utility pickups like Big Steppin’ and Sticky Fingers, but I think we both know you aren’t learning magic for things like that. You probably just want to blast some enemies with a Good Ol’ Fashioned Fireball.

There’s no need to go it alone, either. Crawlers can enlist the aid of some useful allies, whether that’s listening to the wisdom of a Game Guide, thanking your Sponsor for some treasure, or dropping some gold on a Hired Mercenary who will be a disposable meat shield trusted protector against the dangers of the dungeon.

If this isn’t good enough for you, and it doesn’t seem like anything is, you can extend your options past the custom-built options we’ve laid out before you, and you can take any unique cards from any of the other Crawlers. You can steal Carl’s signature Smush to keep Daddy happy, steal Mongo away from Princess Donut, recruit some of Imani’s finest Meadow Lark teammates, or stack some debuffs with Prepotente’s spells. All of these and more combine to make you the most Unstoppable killing machine the dungeon has ever seen! The possibilities are… well, not endless, but certainly enough for the likes of you. You can go as powerful or as bizarre as you’d like, and there’s nothing that can stop you! Except, of course, getting instantly obliterated by a Borough Boss you brazenly thought you could handle. But that probably won’t happen, right?
