Project Update: Shipping Charges Coming Soon To A Pledge Manager Near You!
HEELLLOOO CRAWLERS!
It’s been about two weeks since we stopped our weekly updates so we’ve got a lot of information to cover.
Shipping/Charging for tax
Shipping will still be charged before the end of this month.
Rather than build a ridiculously large and unwieldy shipping table or charge a high flat rate we’re running each order through the individual warehouse systems so that each backer is paying for the exact shipping of their specific order.
This way is taking a little more time but it means the prices are individual and no one ends up paying for a higher shipping bracket because their order is 5 grams over a random weight range.
This shipping charge timeline isn’t going to affect shipping times, pledges are still on track to start shipping in October
What about my PDFs?
There were more than a few backers who were patiently waiting for us to charge cards before getting their PDFs and we didn’t want to make them wait any longer. By the end of this weekend, all current orders will be locked, and then come Monday those PDF codes will be distributed.
We also got a copy of the Core Rulebook in and BOY is it BIG.
So big that we decided it would make a pretty good Dungeon Entry weapon!

We owe you all Discord badges. This keeps getting delayed because I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to distribute them. I’m working on a solution for that now that should hopefully just involve following a link.

Project Update: Little Update Long Weekend
Helloooo Crawlers!
Short update today before I hop offline since RGS is closed for the long weekend.
Shipping
First, we’re going to be locking in addresses in 48 hours.
Once we have addresses locked we’ll be able to start loading in shipping prices. We’re hoping to have all of the shipping costs loaded and ready to charge no later than September 20th.

This is your last chance to add any extra add-ons or extra pledges. Once we lock addresses and orders your pledge will be set in stone.
We also have some suggestions to help keep shipping costs slightly lower, courtesy of the shipping wizards:
It's also not a bad idea to encourage them to do stuff like using street addresses rather than PO Boxes when possible, as PO Box delivery is much more expensive.
PDFs
After a lot of elbow grease we’ve ironed out all the large scale errors and are now working on individual problem solving.
If you’re still having problems with your PDFs or if you accidentally redeemed your PDFs without being logged in send us an email to [email protected]. I’m handling most of these personally to make sure they get redeemed and re-sent correctly so I appreciate your patience!
If you aren’t able to access your account because your password reset emails don’t show up, then send a message to our Customer Service team at [email protected] and they’ll assist you as soon as they can! This is an issue we’ve brought up multiple times with several email providers and since they haven’t been able to figure it out either we’re mainly doing password resets manually.
If you’re already waiting for a reply there’s no need to send another email or reply to your first ticket—you’ll bump yourself to the back of the line and you’ll end up waiting longer for assistance.

Our final poll has wrapped and the new aspect we’ll be introducing in the “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” sidequest is a new class! I’m excited to see what our writers whip up for all of you.

Project Update: PDF= Party During Friday? Maybe?
Hello Crawlers,
It’s been a fun and very busy week with the release of the PDFs! If you’ve reached out with a question and haven’t heard back yet, we’re still actively working through DMs, emails, and comments from throughout the week. Thanks for your patience while we get to everyone!
In the meantime, we wanted to round up some of the most common questions we’ve received in one place.
Also, for any rules questions you might have we’ve created a CarlRPG Rules Q&A Channel in our Discord where Lead Designer Matt Hyra and our other designers can step in and help out. Check out some of the questions that are already posted and answered!
I still don’t have my PDF code(s)
All PDF codes have now been sent from our end, so first double-check that your pledge includes PDFs.
If you only pledged for Unstoppable or the Unstoppable All-In, your pledge does not include PDF downloads.
Otherwise, check the email address associated with your BackerKit account, including your spam or junk folder. If you still can’t find your code, email [email protected] and we’ll help!
My survey shows $0.00 paid
If your initial pledge payment failed, your pledge is still in our system but is currently unpaid. You’ll automatically receive your PDF codes once we charge for shipping, taxes, and VAT in mid-September.
I only got one code
First, check your pledge tier! Bronze includes only the Starter Set PDF, while Silver includes only the Core Rulebook PDF.
If you added the other item as an add-on and previously didn’t receive a code for it, check again. We’ve sent those codes as well.
I can’t download my PDFs
Download issues are often caused by an unstable internet connection or firewall protections on your browser, network, or router.
We’re continuing to monitor the files on our end, and since switching off dynamic watermarking, we haven’t identified any system-wide issues preventing downloads.
My PDF download email didn’t arrive / I only got one download email
Our system may occasionally choose not to send another email if it detects that you recently received one. We’ve also been sending a lot of emails this week, so some may end up caught by spam filters.
If you didn’t receive an email with a link to your order, check your Renegade webstore Order History and follow the instructions in this update to access your files.
My code says it’s been used
Check your Renegade webstore Order History first. You may have successfully redeemed the code without realizing it.
It’s also possible you checked out as a guest, which leads us to…

Email [email protected] with:
- Your Renegade account email
- Your PDF code
- Your BackerKit email, if it’s different from your Renegade account email
We can manually add the order back to your account. This is a time-intensive process, so we appreciate your patience while our team works through these requests!

Project Update: PDFs Will Not Break Us!
Thank You, Crawlers!
As of this update, the majority of digital PDF codes have been distributed to backers! We wanted to share this quick update addressing the most common issues and questions:
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are logged into your Renegade webstore account before checking out. If you check out as a guest, your digital files may not be tied to your account, which could cause you to lose access to them later.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you are logged into your Renegade webstore account before checking out. If you check out as a guest, your digital files may not be tied to your account, which could cause you to lose access to them later.
My code says it isn’t valid for the items in my cart.
Make sure you’re using the correct code for the correct product:
- Core Rulebook codes begin with CARLBK-
- Starter Set codes begin with CARLBKSS-
My code is only taking off part of the cost of the item.
Make sure you’re adding the product to your cart using the URL provided on your BackerKit Downloads Page.
If you add the product directly from the general Renegade webstore, the code may not apply the correct discount.
My code gives me an error or says it has already been used.
Yup, AI went Primal and caused an error with some of the codes.
This is now fixed. If you received an error saying your code has reached its maximum number of uses, please try again now. It should be resolved.
I didn’t receive codes for my add-on items.
We discovered a backend issue that caused some add-on items to not be properly counted when codes were generated.
This has also been fixed, and we have sent out these missing codes. If you didn’t receive a code for an eligible add-on initially, you should see an email before the end the day.
If it has been several days and you still aren't seeing a code please leave a comment on this post so we can investigate and fix that issue.
I didn’t receive any codes or emails.
Check your Digital Downloads page first- your email may have been lost but your codes will be there!
As noted in last week’s update, today’s PDF codes were distributed to backers whose pledges were fully paid and surveys were complete at the time of distribution. This does not include balances for VAT or taxes, but rather the cost of the base pledge.
If you did not receive your PDF codes today, please check your BackerKit survey and confirm:
- Your pledge is paid in full
- Your survey is complete and submitted
If either of these steps was incomplete when today’s codes were distributed, don’t worry—you’ll still receive your digital rewards! Our next planned code distribution will happen after shipping is charged, which is currently expected in mid-to-late September.
If your pledge was fully paid and your survey was complete before today’s distribution, but you still did not receive your codes, please contact [email protected] for assistance.
When I use the code at checkout to check it does not drop the total to $0.
This issue is commonly because you aren't on the correct webstore for your region. Please double check that!
