The 1969 Stonewall Riots weren't the first time that LGBTQ+ people stood up against police harassment, but it led to the creation of what we know as Pride today. Following the riots, community organizers wanted to build on the spirit of resistance and organized a "Gay Pride" march. That march soon expanded until Pride became the widespread celebration it is today. Here are some of our favorite crowdfunding projects by LGBT creators.
