Project Update: PDF Redemption Informational Update
Happy PDF Release Day, Crawlers!
Here’s a quick status update on how things have gone so far!
For the past four hours, our dynamic watermarking software has beenscreaming groaning “YOU WILL NOT BREAK ME!” while trudging through the thousands of PDFs downloads from Wave 1 Celestial backers.
But… it broke. 😄 So now what?
We’ve pivoted to Plan B and turned off the dynamic watermarking tool, switching instead to a generic watermark. This removes the biggest bottleneck in the download process, which means PDFs will download much faster and without the long queue.
What this means for you:
Nothing changes about the redemption process! Codes work the same as outlined in our PDF Redemption Instructions update, and PDFs will still include a watermark that prohibits unauthorized distribution.

- Silver, Bronze, & Tunnel Tuners— Final wave
With more than 55,000 Crawlers descending on the system, PDF Release Day was bound to come with a few unexpected boss battles. Thanks for bearing with us while we work through them!

Q: Only received Start Up code and not Core Rulebook?
A: You should receive the second code imminently! The system lagged a bit.
Q: Receiving message "not eligible for this checkout"
A: This issue is commonly encountered when the wrong code is used. Double check you're using the Starter Set code for the Starter Set, and the Core Book code for the Core Book!
They have to be ordered individually.
Q: I’m a celestial backer and haven’t received a code yet. Where do I get it at?
A: Check your spam/junk folders for an email from Renegade Game Studios.

- Codes are also available on BackerKit Surveys. Click your Avatar in the upper right hand corner on the BackerKit website >> Your Pledges & surveys >> Your Surveys >> Check all three tabs: Active, Needs Action, Completed.
- If you never completed your survey, you will need to do so in order to see your Digital Rewards page.
Q: The files will not open after the download.
A: These are large files - make sure you are downloading with a stable internet connection.
