Hello Everyone! We're just about 99% done with sending out packages at this point! 📦
Almost everyone should be receiving their books and goodies at this time. Any shipments that are remaining to go out are international based and are currently being addressed.
These should all be received to you, worst kinds of delays considered, by the end of April! If you do not receive your books, let us know! We will want to know as soon as possible so that we can get another copy out to you. Reach out to us at [email protected] if this ends up being you so that we can help!
Replacements for patches/pins may not be available however if a tracked shipment still somehow ends up lost, as we ordered them just for this project. Any of the remaining ones will be going to Alina Pete who is the project lead. This means if you wish to get replacements or were interested in ordering additionals for yourself or others, you will want to reach out to Alina who is active on Bluesky. Alina is Canadian and is currently looking into how to fulfill US orders considering the current political climate, thanks for understanding!
First off, a huge thank you for your patience! We know we've been a little quiet, but that's because we've had our heads down, entirely focused on building out this beast that is BLITZ magazine issue 1. It's packed with some seriously exceptional raw talent!
📢 Since our last update, we've assembled an incredible lineup of international creators to bring you bold art, insightful articles, engaging discussions, and so much more. We have the fantastic work of Italy-based artists Dina Omut and Jute, alongside Mahdi Kheene, who's making waves in the NY indie scene, plus many other contributors—including the promised legendary Jim Mahfood, Shawn Crystal, and Karl Kerschl—plus we've got a few surprises in store, which we'll share more about in the coming weeks.
🎁 Also, the former insert 'Creator Universe' gets an Upgrade!
Instead of being bound within the magazine, the "Creator Universe" section will now come as a separately printed special edition included in a collector's treasure trove of extras. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible creators, we're stuffing this grab bag with original comics, postcards, posters, stickers, and more exclusive goodies!
📆 Printing & Fulfillment Timeline — we're officially on the books to take BLITZ to print in May, and we're printing locally here in Canada, which means fulfillment will begin by late May or early June. We know it's been a journey, but trust us—it'll be worth the wait!
BLITZ has evolved into something much bigger than we originally conceived — and we're trying to make it as unique, memorable, and purposeful as possible. The extra time you, our amazing backers, have afforded us has helped us achieve this. Thank you for your support and patience.
Thank you again for your patience and belief in BLITZ — we can't wait to get this into your hands!
In the meantime, please enjoy some art from some of the new faces going BLITZ issue 1!
We've finally reached our destination, just in time for the leaves to start budding! 🌱
What that means is if you haven't already done so, please check to make sure your address is up to date if you have recently changed where you live! We're expecting shipments to go out this week and begin to arrive sometime over the next couple of weeks to their destinations.
If for some reason your shipping address is changing last minute, please email us over at [email protected] with your pledge# and username, as well as the new address, so that we can get that done for you. We expect tracking numbers for the books to be going out shortly. 📦
That being said, we're just on the horizon for the second funding campaign for Vol. 2: Burn It Down and we would love to have you all as return funders! While we are not funding this campaign through BackerKit, you can still be a part by helping us through the Kickstarter. Be sure to get a notification at this link so that we can let you know when it goes live!
And as always be sure to follow S E Case at their website here to continue to read! This comic is regularly updated on Mondays and Wednesdays and has an active comment community! If you know someone that would like Rigsby or lived a lifestyle like that, please suggest this to them!
Happy Spring, fellow Party-goers! It's time to take it outside! 🎉
Oh texture, my beloved, you look so beautiful...
We've got an update with several fun pictures for you to gander at! Currently Perfect Crime Party is finally heading toward the printer after a slightly-lengthy review! 🔍
The spines of the book signatures! I just think it's neat how a book comes together, don't you?
I personally love seeing the shine and texture on black print. You can't get that in a PDF as much as those rock too!
Proofs have been approved for production after a small delay. A few edits had to take place for the printing to look clearer and be more readable but now that that's over, we're currently slated to begin the printing and put-together process. These photos that have been included in the update are from the second proof run, so you're all getting a little sneak peek at the final product before everything else gets stitched up for the cover to be added!
Thank you all for being here and a part of this production! We cannot wait to share this criminal collection with you!
The first week of the campaign is a wrap. We currently stand at 23% backed with 81 backers. Thank you so much for your support! We still have some week to go.
As many of you John Jennings fans may already know, Lion Man has been a mini obsession for him for a very long time. So, we thought you might like to see some of the versions of our mighty hero over the years.
Thanks again for your support. Please help us reach our goal and back it today. We have big plans for Lion Man and some of these other old characters.
Mordecai and Ivy Standees are back up in the Lackadaisy Shop, and this time they're evergreen! If you missed out on the limited run we sold, now's your chance to add them to your Lackadaisy collection!
Despite our best efforts, Lilith #3's physical release is delayed due to our printer unfortunately misprinting this entire run 👿 Here's a video update from Corin herself, explaining the extent of the misprint, which we only found out about once copies began to arrive to our warehouses.
Obviously, this unexpected error was NOT on our bingo card for Lilith #3, and although the printer is redoing the print job for us now, there will be a delay for the release of the physical issue. But because we don't want to leave backers hanging, please keep an eye out for an email about the digital release to tide you over while we get this problem sorted.
In our first episode of WHAT YOU KNOW GOOD? over on TikTok and YouTube, we talk to artist Jamie Noguchi (THE SCHOOL FOR EXTRATERRESTRIAL GIRLS) about indy comics, his extraterrestrial co-conspirator Jeremy Whitley, and heavy metal guitars.
Jamie also provided the Iron Lady pinup for our forthcoming graphic novel, THE ADVENTURES OF LION MAN!
A quick update as things are coming together for Karma Vol 2 to ship soon. As part of the ComicTopia project there was a cool collaboration gift for backers of both Karma Vol 2 and our partners project The Legend of La Rosa Blanca. Any backers that supported print levels from both campaigns are receiving two special custom Tarot cards. Here's a look at the actual cards that will be included for qualifying backers:
We will be updating more coming up shortly. Shipping will be starting in the coming weeks as soon as we have the confirmed date the books are arriving.
Our friends over at Burrowed Alive have been hard at work with the pilot of their animated series Far-Fetched! Shortly they're going to be going live with their very first Kickstarter and we were hoping you would be interested! This is our kinda thing, and we're hoping it's going to be yours too! Take a look!
Welcome to Veilport, where the veil is about to be lifted for our merry band of late-2000's misfits in an old ice-cream truck. 🚚💨
Rue has unleashed an adorable little dragon..? animal? demon? dog...? upon the world, but has much more to worry about than that right now. Stumbling into a friend's late 00's niche band, Sesamoid, the crew has set out into the local wooded area of their small town to film an animated video in the hopes of gaining popularity in the days of the young Internet reach.
But the influence they have reaches more into the bizarre, science-y and supernatural rather than the stardom they are all looking for! The little town they live in has its own reasons to not draw attention to itself....
Personally I'm already a big fan of Quinn and his attitude 👀
