no more failed payments
Meet The Doubleclicks
The Doubleclicks had a question to answer—can two sisters from Portland who write snarky, geeky music about things like Dinosaurs or Dungeons and Dragons find a community of fans with crowdfunding? The answer was a resounding YES!
How They Used BackerKit
The Doubleclicks went into their crowdfunding journey excited but nervous. “We asked for advice from other people who had done Kickstarters, did a lot of reading, and A LOT of math. We were started how easily we could get into the red.” When their backer count doubled, and then tripled their expected number, they knew they needed a better solution than emailing everyone individually. That’s where BackerKit came in.
Easy fix for backers!
Failed payments were an unexpected issue for The Doubleclicks project, but backers were able to fix their credit card information with no problem with BackerKit.

Lots of backers needed to change their addresses between their pledge date and the delivery date. With BackerKit, backers can make these updates themselves!
The Doubleclicks are a pair of sisters from Portland, Oregon who have been writing songs that are all at once snarky, geeky and sweet since 2011. In early 2014, The Doubleclicks raised over $80,000 in a Kickstarter campaign to fund a new album and a music video project. That album released in June and is called “Dimetrodon”.
The Creator Journey
The mega success of The Doubeclicks’ Kickstarter allowed them to create more music videos than they had originally planned.
“And it was worth it! We made back the money we spent on BackerKit just through add-ons sold after the Kickstarter
Aubrey Webber, One-half of The Doubleclicks
“There were more and more people to manage, and we knew we wanted a better system than individually emailing
everyone. A friend of ours who had Kickstarted before without using a fulfillment system got in touch with us and
told us to not make his mistake—and to get in touch with BackerKit.”
